Getting started

1. Open Markwell in your Shopify admin and click Turn on in theme. Your theme editor opens with Markwell switched on. Click Save.
2. Add your shipping and returns in Settings if you'd like Google to show them. Only add them if they match what customers actually pay and get.
3. Use the See what Google sees step on the app's Home page to open Google's Rich Results Test for one of your products.

Common questions

I changed my theme and Markwell stopped working.
App embeds start switched off in a newly published theme. Open Markwell and click Turn on in theme again. If alerts are on, the daily check emails you when this happens.

Another app is also adding structured data.
Markwell's Home page lists any other app adding product markup. Turn its structured data off in that app's settings or in your theme editor's App embeds, so Google sees one version.

My review stars don't show.
Markwell uses the ratings your review app saves to Shopify. Check that ratings are on in Markwell's Settings and that your review app is showing reviews on your product pages. Google only allows ratings shoppers can see.

Uninstalling.
Uninstall from Settings → Apps in your Shopify admin. Markwell's markup is removed straight away and your theme isn't left with any code. See the privacy policy for what's deleted.
